Here’s a quick walk through of the room I stayed in.Īnd even though I stayed up way too late talking to a dear friend around one of the fire pits outdoors, I woke up refreshed, having felt as though I’d had a full eight hours of sleep.
The pen, resting on a notepad on the desk beside two postcards that you can mail to family or friends at home, the added lamps and lighting and usb ports to charge my devices that I can’t leave home without, the word “Dream” scrawled across the lampshade, the colorful pillow that rests on the bed and the bed scarf that lays across the bottom of the bed with the inspirational quote that reads, “Put wings on your dreams.~ Dolly” Comfortably decorated with two queen beds, it was the little touches that really struck me. Located on the 5 th floor, my room overlooked Splash Country. While I’ve mentioned several perks, after driving from Ohio, my room was what I was most grateful for.

Guests of the property who plan to visit the parks can take advantage of perks that only those who stay at the resort have access to a free shuttle that transports guests to both the theme park and water park, early Saturday entry, a special guest only entrance at Dollywood Theme Park, package delivery to your room from the parks, and less wait time for rides at Dollywood with a complimentary TimeSaver that allows expedited entrance to both the Drop Line and Lightening Rod. For the mom who needs to be pampered or wants to spend time with her daughter, girlfriend’s or husband, the spa offers services and packages to fit your needs and make you feel like a million bucks. The resort encourages family time and making memories together this resort is not a destination to drop off your kids and run but to celebrate the little things like roasting marshmallows for s’mores, or listening to storytelling at bedtime. In addition to the restaurant, pools and game room, you’ll find Camp DW- a camp for kids to enjoy WITH their parent’s or grandparent’s. The amenities I mentioned above, are only a few of the reasons I found to stay. The large porches on the property provided large rocking chairs for guests and the Adirondack chairs and fire pits scattered throughout the beautifully manicured and landscaped lawn allow families and friends to enjoy the fresh mountain air.
The outdoor spaces were equally welcoming. I saw many guests throughout my stay enjoying the comfortably decorated space to relax, speak to a friend, or to take a phone call.
The lobby at the resort is affectionally referred to as “the Living Room” and it lives up to its name. From the moment I arrived and was welcomed by the valet, to check-in by the front desk host, to hearing the tunes of the piano waft throughout the resort, I knew this stay would not be my last and I’ll share why.Īs someone who frequently travels for work, I’m a fan of comfortable and functional public spaces in a resort. Combine a luxurious property with southern hospitality and you’ll begin to understand the treat you’re in for as you step foot into Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa. I knew four years ago the resort would be something special but somehow, I underestimated exactly how incredible it would be. The 300-room resort opened its doors in 2015 complete with valet parking, a full-service restaurant, lounge, grab and go pantry, spa, family game room, indoor and outdoor pools and event space to host conferences. That property is Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa and it’s located on a hill overlooking Dollywood’s Splash Country. Four years ago, I attended an event at Dollywood and heard Dolly Parton share her excitement and plans to build a luxury resort that would include a penthouse for when she was in town.
